Friday 16 August I will be playing a GLADIO live set at the X-RAY stage at the dutch Lowlands festival in the Flevopolder with Upsammy, Identified Patient, Ki/Ki, DJ Marcelle and more! More info here tickets are sold out already

Saturday 17 August  I will take the train to Offenbach to play the legendary Robert Johnson club at the TOTAL STAY event which will start in the day time already and I will play a live set from 19:00 till 20:00. With lots of intriguing artists such as Job Jobse, Lena Willekens, Orson Welles, Via App, Bambounou, Eris Drew and many many others – info and tickets here

Oberheim Matrix 1000 Sample Pack

Here are 181 samples from the Oberheim Matrix 1000 synthesizer I made a few years ago (apparently on a lonely christmas evening looking at the file date!) – all free for you to use in your own music productions to load up in your sampler – all in 16 bit WAV format!  Lots of typical Oberheim spacey pads, strings, brassy stuff etc.etc.etc. Fresh ingredients for your MPC, Octatrack, Electribe, Ableton, FruityLoops, Tracker whatever you use to further your experiments in musical alchemy!

A littlebit of info about this synth:

a 19″ rack version of the Oberheim Matrix 6/6R stacked with 1000 preset patches. Two oscillator analog 12db Filter substractive synthesis with extreme modulation capabilities –  You can’t edit it from the front panel but its fully editable with an editor, controller or ‘other’ Matrix 6/6R.

The sound is beautifull….sparkling, lush …..sharp but not harsch. Excells at brassy, plucky sounds, strings, pads but basses and other stuff can be quite decent too.  Overall a ‘sophisticated arcane’ sound, nubile analog. It can sound incredibly scary and eerie. The Oberheim Matrix 1000 really shines with a bit of reverb

Agenda Updated

I am relaxing a bit these weeks, working on a new Shadow Wolf radioshow and some Nightwind records releases and I updated the agenda section…check it out to see if I will be playing in your neighbourhood….I will be heading out to some interesting exotic places for the first time such as Kosovo, Islas Canarias, Tulum..returning to Mexico City and Colombia next month too and playing some cool festivals such as Katharsis, Lowlands and Draaimolen…and lots more…check it all out here!

Yamaha DX1 at Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio

A pic of me playing some amateur space jazz on the mighty Yamaha DX1 at the Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS) – Yamaha’s grande flagship FM synth from 1983 – basicly 2 DX7’s in one synth with polyphonic aftertouch, wooden keys and lots of knobs and whistles! Acidhall version of Crime Stopper – Drugs Addiction

Live Legowelt Acidhall version of the amazing CRIME STOPPER – ‘Drugs Addiction’ track as played in the Shadow Wolf Radio show – original from 1992 still has that Jamaican GOLDEN digital era 1985 – 1988 sound! Heavy TB303 and TR707 – which is apart from a legendary Chicago house drummachine also THE defacto digital era dubdancehall / Acidhall machine.

Friday 14th June I fly back to Holland to play a Legowelt live show at one of the final BAR parties in Rotterdam…Clone Records will take over with SERGE, Animistic Beliefs and legendary DJ FETTBURGER – Sadly the club will close end of this month so no excuse to miss this legendary party!!! tickets and more info and tickets here!

Saturday 15th of June I will do a ‘Digital Era Dub/Acidhall’ DJ set with xtreme dubecho& the ZION AntiBabylon TR707 at the Raggatron party in BRET Amsterdam (despite the RAGGATRON name having a close proximity to the music style Reaggaton it has nothing to do with that – I (and the organization of these parties) hate reagaton and it was fun to see last year at the Scheveningen edition that some  larval specimens of human beings came to the show thinking it was such a party – instead they were tortured by heavy extreme DUB from the King Siloh soundsystem and my digital 707 ‘golden digi-dub era & ACIDHALL’ collection of tracks from Jamaica and London….resulting in them complaining to the managament ha!)
