NOVATION BASS STATION II
A great mono/duophonic analog synth with two flexible oscillators, an extra sub-oscillator, two filters, two LFOS, sequencing / arpeggiatiors and some exotic features like the AFX mode which let you play different presets on each key of the keyboard – this is of course amazing when you start the arpeggiator!!! As I do some sound design work for Novation synthesizers I somehow ended up with a whole bunch of different versions: the AFX version, the WxAxRxP edition (which was made especially for the 30th anniversary of WARP records) and the SWIFTY GRAFIX Edition. There is also a classic version floating around somewhere.
All these versions are in essence the same except for the looks: any Bass Station II, even the earlier versions, can be updated to the latest version to have the AFX & Duophonic mode.
As they are lightweight, not too big and have lots of knobs for tweaking I use these things for my live gigs a lot.
